Advanced Art/PE

Art
My Crayon Cartoon project.

My elective is art. I've always loved art because I'm very pretentious, and despite my bland personality, I like to believe that I have a creative mind. In art, we do a lot of projects and learn about different terms and skills artist use. Our most recent project is making a design and painting on it. We put our design in four different boxes after making four different designs and choosing one, and then we choose our color sets for our four different boxes. The four color schemes we're doing are complementary, split-complementary, monochromatic, and analogous. My favorite project we've ever done was our black and white character design project. The image above is my Crayon Cartoon project. For our Crayon Cartoon project, we had to make a lot of boxes and then draw the same character repeatedly in each box. I made my character who's name is Pablo. I didn't like this project at first because I usually don't like coloring with crayons, but I eventually warmed up to it.

-Color Wheel Slide-
It took me a very long time to make my color wheel slide so I'm proud of it. For this slide we were supposed to go over art vocabulary.

-Art History Sponge #1-
We had to write two paragraphs about Salvador Dali's art style and life.

-Color Wheel Mixture Essay-
The Color Wheel Mixture Essay was about a group project we did in class. We mixed food coloring with water and made a color wheel.

Advanced Art

I love how there's no need to put a part two in parenthesis besides art because it's advanced. Can you tell how self-entitled I am from that one sentence? I'm so proud, as you would know if you read my "new" introduction, of getting into Advanced Art. Yes, I know it was probably because they didn't have any other kids left so they said, "Why don't we get that one in," but I've been waiting my whole life, or about two months, for this opportunity to arise. Like I mentioned before, though I don't even really need to, my whole writing mannerisms scream it, I am pretentious. What does this have to do with art? Everything. It's so refreshing to have art first period, because it always relaxes me and makes me ready for the day. I'm currently doing my Getting to Know You project.

This is my Getting to Know You project. It's ok, I guess.

This is my old Getting to Know You project that I made a year ago in Beginning Art.

P.E.

P.E is my fourth period class. My P.E teacher is Mr. Hayakawa. I don't have much to say about P.E because unlike most classes, it involves physical exercise which I'm not a big fan of. That's not to say I don't like P.E. It's not my favorite subject, but it's not my worst either. It's in the middle. My favorite P.E units were football and volleyball. A few days ago, we played a game in P.E that was like Red Light, Green Light, however we had to steal a rubber chicken from Mr. Hayakawa without him knowing which one of us has it. It was really fun and I'd like to play it again. We also played a game where we had to steal these circle things (which were referred to as rocks) from other teams and it was probably one of the best games we've ever played in P.E.

P.E. (part two)

P.E. is still my fourth period class, and that makes me nostalgic and happy for some reason. Mr. Blair's cool and volleyball's pretty fun. That doesn't mean I'm good at it though. If only you can see my self-deprecation smile through the screen. If, like me, you would enjoy imagining it while reading this, then here's a stock photo with some minor adjustments of how it kind of feels and looks like.

if this makes you uncomfortable, it must be working

  2. Also, that picture did make me uncomfortable. How many faces did you put together? I counted about four, and also, how did you do that? Did you create a google doc?

    1. I put about four, so you're correct. I used Google drawings to make it, and I'll tell you a little secret. You can't tell anyone else, though. It's pretty sneaky, but I put three pictures of my face, made them equally transparent, and then put a stock photo over it and made it a little bit more transparent than the others. That, and I'm just naturally good at making people uncomfortable.
